- Oral Oncologist
It takes a lot of hard work to become a doctor, but to be a doctor who has an immense thirst to work with people who are suffering from various forms of pathologies of the oral cavity is something else entirely.
Today, I am proud to stand as a perfect example to anyone in the medical and dental field, especially to show them that they can surely follow their passion by working hard.
Although I started my career as a dentist, my passion took me along a different path. It was my deep interest that pushed me to pursue studies in oral oncology. Dentistry, as such, is not just about 32 teeth , rct , implants, and aligners. I would also like to mention that the oral cavity has a lot of other regions that are more interesting , challenging, and difficult, and that’s what amazed me.
Soon, I completed a one-year senior residency in oral oncology at Shanghai Jio Tang University, China, following my MDS. I am also one of the cofounders of the Rajan Oral Cancer Centre and clinical head of oral and maxillofacial diseases and oncology at Penn Nalam and Aan Nalam Cancer Centre.
Both the centres are completely dedicated to treating cancer patients and those with oral pathology and diseases, especially those from the economically weaker sections of society.
I am also a cancer awareness speaker and consultant at Sankalp, an NGO founded by the late Dr. TN Seshan.
My ultimate aim in life is to start a hospital offering international standard treatment for all oral pathologies, tumors, and cancers, affordable to everyone.
Apart from that, I would like to inspire each one of you to devote some time to serving the poor in any way you can, so that at the end of the day, we can justify why we are called a doctor, who is considered next to God.
