- Biomedical Engineering Candidate, IIT - Bombay
I’m a BDS graduate (Co’20) from Trivandrum, Kerala and currently, a final year postgraduate scholar pursuing a degree in Biomedical engineering at IIT Bombay, India. The clinician engineer combination has always twisted a few eyebrows but there is an interesting story to me on how that came about. I was always fascinated by science and the beautiful ways nature worked to amuse us from a very young age. I never did take it seriously as a career option till my sophomore year in BDS where my professors saw a future in my random hobby of voracious reading of research papers. Well, soon enough it turned out to be a career decider for me and I’m currently pursuing cancer nanomedicine and immunotherapeutics research at the prestigious IIT Bombay.
I began to pursuing my passion for science and innovation during my BDS years and I was fortunate to get national recognition and acceptance into the scientific community as an exciting upcoming young researcher and this made me believe in my capabilities in this domain. Apart from reasonably good credentials, I have had the blessing to deliver a dozen of award-winning scientific presentations on my innovations and breakthrough ideas at various international, national & state-level events as well as got an opportunity to delivery a TEDx talk at the age of 23 which I consider myself very fortunate as it is the first by an Indian dental student in its history.
I hope my humble life inspires to innovate and do what's possible in one’s best capabilities to help solve today’s pressing problems. I sincerely believe that with all our collective efforts and good deeds the future will be ever bright and glorious for our society and the generations to come.
